When sharing assets, checking "require identification" does not change the URL so it appears not to have worked.1 vote
Require Identification doesn’t change the URL but will still require that the user enter their email before accessing. You can test this by creating a share link, checking the “require identification” box and then accessing that in a private or incognito browsing window.
Especially when a collection is shared publicly, it would be great if we could add a description to a Collection.1 vote
Hi Tona! You have the ability to do this by clicking into the Collection and then the “Settings” – “Basic Settings” and then you can enter that information where it say s “Tagline”.
Let us know if you have any questions about that!
Mistakes happen and currently the only way to correct a caption typo or missing keyword is to remove the asset, correct the mistake and then re-submit the file. At which point the image that was corrected is separated from the other photos of the same subject. It's even worse if the assets have already been shared with a client, a new link has to be sent after the correction is made.1 vote
This function can be done by clicking into “Edit Asset” and then dragging in the updated file as an attachment and clicking update and then removing the file with the mistake. This will maintain the share link and keep the updated asset associated with the other photos as well.
Make a hidden folder or lock an assets so that it cannot be seen or downloaded by Guests but visible to Collaborators and Admins3 votes
We have a feature that can do this for you! Please contact your Brandfolder Admins or email@example.com for more information.
Making a series of changes to assets often requires navigation to previous and/or subsequent items. Adding buttons (ideally left and right arrow keyboard support) to move forward/backward in the edit view would be advantageous to making said changes. Perhaps an "Apply" button would need to be added as well.
Left/Right navigation in the detail view would also be helpful--but more so for our users.9 votes
We have added arrows to navigate forward and backwards between assets. You will now see these arrows after clicking into an asset to navigate!
We use a SAML 2.0 Identity provider and would like to be able to give access to our users via SSO and SAML. In addition, we would like to see users provisioned via Just-in-time provisioning. Our users are asking for it.2 votes
We have this feature! Please reach out to either your Brandfolder Admins or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information!
From Kim Ryan at KPRC: " I would like to be able to view documents and not have to download them all the time to just look at one."2 votes
Done! Office documents (as well as some other file types) can now be previewed in their entirety by clicking on the large preview image within an asset modal!

All assets on one long scrolling page please! It makes it hard to reorganize assets when they are on separate pages3 votes
We have this feature! This is an option on the Admin side- please contact your Brandfolder Admin or email@example.com for further information!
Add single asset to multiple collections at once1 vote
We have this feature! Please let us know if you would like more information on how to do this by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Would like to be able to filter the assets in a particular folder by date, or alpha order. Currently the old way to sort a folder is manually which is difficult when loading a large amount of files at once.6 votes
We now have a “Sort” feature to the right of the search bar where you can sort the section by Name or by Newest to Oldest and Oldest to Newest.
Please contact email@example.com with any questions!
Done! We found most people were switching it to ‘Anyone with the link’, so this should save everyone a couple clicks :)
We strictly manage our tags in order to keep them consistent, so the majority of my sales team are only "Guests" in BrandFolder (so they don't subjectively add/remove tags).
The sales team uses Brandfolder mainly to send work samples to potential clients, so they are the ones that most need the "Share via Secret Link", but right now guests aren't allowed to generate this link.
Please let Guests also generate the secret share link! Thank you!6 votes
Guests are now allowed to share links! With our revamped sharing users have the option of sharing with existing users of a Brandfolder or with anyone the link is shared with.
We’ve also added the ability to require external users to identify themselves with an email address before obtaining access to the assets you share via a link. Additionally, you can set a share link expiration in the case that you want to limit the amount of time external users should be able to access the assets.
Whether sharing from within your current Brandfolder or sharing from within our latest feature, Collections, it matters not: let your Guests share!
Adding a drag & drop feature to reorganize pinned/saved searches would be nice. We currently have 20+ saved searches in alphabetical order, but each time I add a new one, I would have to unpin and repin in the correct order or have Brandfolder support to do this for us on the backend.6 votes
We have added this feature- there is now a “Manage Pinned Searches” button where you can manage your pinned searches. You can change the name, order and remove them.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions!
On the signin page, is it possible to add a Name & Company field along with the email address field to request access? Unfortunately, there's no way to know who is requesting access by their email address alone.2 votes
You can now accomplish this by filling in the “More Information” under the checkbox that enables access requests. What you type in the textarea will appear as a label/question to your users and a required field will be shown below for them to answer.
Today I have to scroll through a list to find and edit access for a user. Is there a way we can search for this easier?2 votes
We just released search in the User modal which admins can access by clicking “Manage Users” and you’ll see the Search box at the top of the modal.
Make the initial share of a Brandfolder easier for Admins to send and clearer for the Guests who are getting access
Instead of giving access guest one by one and the email coming from Brandfolder. I'd prefer to set up a full Guest list of people who need access to a Brandfolder and be able to customize the email that goes to them (ideally it could come from me as an admin instead of Brandfolder) and then hit send once to send to all Guests instead of one by one.4 votes
You can leverage our Bulk Invite feature to send a customized message to several users at the same time.
More information is available in our knowledgebase article at http://help.brandfolder.com/knowledgebase/articles/663019-how-to-bulk-invite-users.
Ability to add multiple pantone values in the colors section. For most of our brand colors, we have slightly different colors for Pantone Coated and Pantone Uncoated. The ability to add different values for both would be helpful.2 votes
We’ve added both Pantone Coated & Pantone Uncoated as options on color assets.
Today when I send a specific asset - a filtered version of the Brandfolder is sent with that asset front and center and the user can close the filter and find other relevant assets that might be useful to them. But there are a handful of cases where I don't want the person I'm sending the asset to to see the rest of that Brandfolder and just want them to see the assets that are most important.6 votes
There are now 2 options for achieving this: Collections and Share Links. Collections will allow you to group related assets together and share them as a package to your external users. Those users will never see anything other than what you put in the Collection. You can also use sharing as a way to provide external users limited access to assets in your Brandfolder. Sharing to external users does not allow them to remove a filter to see all assets in your Brandfolder.
