Allow employees of companies to use one login to access Brandfolder. It will increase engagement and retention of users.10 votes
We have this feature! Reach out to email@example.com for more information!
Allow agencies or designers to customize the top header bar with their own logo and colors. Brandfolder should keep their logo at the bottom of the page to drive brand awareness, but also allow paid subscribers of Brandfolder to create a more branded experience for their clients.11 votes
We now have a Customer Header Logo available as a feature.
Head over to our knowledge base for more information:
Make the initial share of a Brandfolder easier for Admins to send and clearer for the Guests who are getting access
Instead of giving access guest one by one and the email coming from Brandfolder. I'd prefer to set up a full Guest list of people who need access to a Brandfolder and be able to customize the email that goes to them (ideally it could come from me as an admin instead of Brandfolder) and then hit send once to send to all Guests instead of one by one.4 votes
You can leverage our Bulk Invite feature to send a customized message to several users at the same time.
More information is available in our knowledgebase article at http://help.brandfolder.com/knowledgebase/articles/663019-how-to-bulk-invite-users.
From Kim Ryan at KPRC: " I would like to be able to view documents and not have to download them all the time to just look at one."2 votes
Done! Office documents (as well as some other file types) can now be previewed in their entirety by clicking on the large preview image within an asset modal!
Done! We found most people were switching it to ‘Anyone with the link’, so this should save everyone a couple clicks :)
Ability to add multiple pantone values in the colors section. For most of our brand colors, we have slightly different colors for Pantone Coated and Pantone Uncoated. The ability to add different values for both would be helpful.2 votes
We’ve added both Pantone Coated & Pantone Uncoated as options on color assets.
On the signin page, is it possible to add a Name & Company field along with the email address field to request access? Unfortunately, there's no way to know who is requesting access by their email address alone.2 votes
You can now accomplish this by filling in the “More Information” under the checkbox that enables access requests. What you type in the textarea will appear as a label/question to your users and a required field will be shown below for them to answer.
This would enhance the bulk select toolbar to make edits to large groups of assets all at once without having to select multiple assets one by one.5 votes
G2G – please try it out and let us know if you experience any snags!
If I have a custom font or the license allows for it, I'd like my font files to be made available for download next to the preview of the font. Keeps it all together and limits people requesting assets over email.10 votes
You can now upload your own Font files with a preview of the Font.
First, delete any existing Font sections that might appear – as those are likely of the “Web Fonts” section type, which are limited to publicly-available web fonts through Google & Adobe. Second, create a new section as “Files” type and name it something like “Fonts”.
This new section will let you upload any type of file, including all font file formats. Some formats will create thumbnails, but if they don’t you can always upload PNG alongside the font that will be a preview of the font and use cases.
If I'm inviting guests (or any user) to a Brandfolder, it would be nice to be able to add my own personal message to explain why I'm inviting them to this service.8 votes
Bulk Invitations allows you to customize a message to multiple users at the same time. Add your own copy to the invite email that your users receive to help get them in your Brandfolder.

it would be good if the name, description and usage information entered on logos and images was actually written to the XMP metadata on the file so copyright info, descriptions and usage information would be carried with the files when downloaded. This would permit better integration with other enterprise level Digital Asset Management systems (Media Beacon, Xinet, etc.) that make file metadata viewable and searchable.8 votes
This is now available as an add-on for Enhanced Plans and included in all Enterprise Plans: http://help.brandfolder.com/knowledgebase/articles/486511-what-add-ons-are-available
Let me be able to subscribe or follow specific Brandfolders so that I get alerts when updates are made by the company.10 votes
We just launched Follow last night. Read all about it here: http://blog.brandfolder.com/brandfolder-news/new-features/follow-a-brand/
The idea will be to be able to embed the brandfolder iframe without having to a Modal box.
I will be happy to pay the pro version only for that feature that:
- remove the brandfolder logo
- grant a better integration of the brand assets on site.8 votes
Thanks for suggesting! We do have a few options here already, with more to come. You could utilize our Widget API which is documented at https://api.brandfolder.com/ or we also have a Wordpress Plugin that will allow embedding like you suggest at http://wordpress.org/plugins/brandfolder/. An example of the Wordpress Inline Embed is up at http://about.mapmyfitness.com/brand/.
Today I have to scroll through a list to find and edit access for a user. Is there a way we can search for this easier?2 votes
We just released search in the User modal which admins can access by clicking “Manage Users” and you’ll see the Search box at the top of the modal.
We are primarily using Brandfolder to allow members working from remote locations to quickly access image files belonging to each of our 50 some odd product SKU’s. As of now, the images appear in a list format without thumbnails and are not ordered alphabetically. With so many SKU’s, this makes it very difficult for me and other members of the company to locate the specific SKU’s in a given folder. I noticed that there is a search function on Brandfolder, but when I type in “pretzel” in search for our Multigrain Soft Pretzel, Brandfolder does not provide me with the direct link to the image file.

We’ve released a much better search inside each Brandfolder that now includes exact hashtag searching, category searching with “category:logos” and extensions searching with “ext:jpg”.
I've reviewed a number of companies brandfolders including your own and you seem to have added some styling to the text (bolding, bullet points, etc) How is this possible?3 votes
Currently you can use HTML in the textarea to accomplish this.
Some basic HTML commands are here: http://share.bf.vu/bf_html
"Tagging" does not achieve visual organization for many photos that need to be group into an album or sub-group. Displaying more than 20 photos is chaos and overwhelming to the average user – Defeats the entire purpose from the user perspective. Stop trying to disrupt the standard sub-folder structure every computer literate human is familiar with.2 votes
We now offer Section Management as a feature to our Enterprise plans. Please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can get your Brandfolder outfitted with a much more organized asset view.
Ideally I could reorder the sections, images up top isn't the most important thing15 votes
We now allow the ability to create, rename, and reorder your sections through Custom Sections.
If multiple people within a company are able to provide access to the Brandfolder, it seems useful to list the asset owner, i.e., Kate, so that if an asset is missing, or there are problems with it, the requester has the option to go straight to the person who can do something about it. It wouldn't be a required field, so if a company prefers the requester work back through their original point of contact, they can. As I mentioned to you before, I think Brandfolder is an amazing tool for large corporations, but internally finding the "right" person to connect a requester with could take days/weeks, listing an asset owner on the page would change all that; even in private facing Brandfolders where only company employees have access. Between multiple locations, employee changes, etc., that information gets blurred really quickly.

We just launched a feature that now allows for this. You can see it in action at http://bf.vu/brandfolder – in the top right you can see the contact information we’re publishing for the entire brandfolder. This is open-ended and allows you to place whatever you feel fits best here. This recently used to be “Tagline”, but we’ve changed it to “Description” so you can describe the brandfolder as you use it, and add any contact information (which will automatically turn into links). To change this, simply click on your Title or current Tagline while in edit mode and you’ll be allowed to make changes to it.
Today when I send a specific asset - a filtered version of the Brandfolder is sent with that asset front and center and the user can close the filter and find other relevant assets that might be useful to them. But there are a handful of cases where I don't want the person I'm sending the asset to to see the rest of that Brandfolder and just want them to see the assets that are most important.6 votes
There are now 2 options for achieving this: Collections and Share Links. Collections will allow you to group related assets together and share them as a package to your external users. Those users will never see anything other than what you put in the Collection. You can also use sharing as a way to provide external users limited access to assets in your Brandfolder. Sharing to external users does not allow them to remove a filter to see all assets in your Brandfolder.
Check out our articles on Collections in our knowledgebase for more information here:
