Content Automation: Creating a Project

Key terms

Project: A project is a folder that houses a selection of a user’s documents.

Project Kit: A project kit is a folder that contains a preset collection of templates that authors can use as a starting point when creating their own projects.

 

How to create an empty project

  1. Go to the Projects screen and click the green New Project button.

  2. Select the New Empty Project thumbnail to create a blank project folder.
  3. Give your project a name and assign the project to a team. Select whether you want to make the project visible to everyone on the team or only yourself.
  4. Hit Create Project.
  5. You are now ready to add documents to your project.

 

How to create a project from a project kit

  1. Go to the Projects screen and click the grey New project button.

  2. Select any of the kit thumbnails (anything other than the New Empty Project thumbnail) to create a project kit. Please note, if you would like to preview the project kit before adding it, click the eye icon on the thumbnail.

  3. If you would like to add the project kit, select the tick icon or the green Select this kit button.

  4. Give your project a name and assign the project to a team. Select whether you want to make the project visible to everyone on the team or only yourself.

  5. Hit Create Project to see all of the templates inside the project. You can start editing the templates or you can add more templates to the project.

Create a Project with Documents

  1. Go to the Projects screen and click the blue New document button.

  2. Select the templates you would like to use to create your documents, and click Create documents.

  4. Give the project a name and select if it should be private or visible to other team members.
     
  5. Select what team/s a project should be created for, even if the project is private as you may wish to share this project with a team at a later date. If you select multiple teams, multiple projects will be created - one for each team selected. 
  6. Confirm ' Create project'.
