Document: Documents can be created by users from their available suite of templates. Documents are the individual pieces of collateral that live inside a project folder e.g. brochures, web ads, signage, business cards, social media tiles, etc. These documents can be edited based on the inputs available in that template. Documents may or may not require approval in order to be exported and downloaded, shared, or printed.
Content Automation Template: Templates are files that act as a starting point when creating documents. Templates contain pre-formatted elements to help you design your collateral according to your brand's style guidelines. Each template is populated with and controlled by a number of Inputs that allow users to edit the document's content.
How to copy content across documents
- Inside a project, click the + Add document button on the left-hand side corner to create a new document and open the template library.
- In the template library, find the template that you'd like to create which should be similar to or under the same template group as the document's template that you'd like to copy content. For example, if you're copying content from a Business card template, use another template that is similar or in the same group as the Business card template. You can filter the library using keyword searches or using the labels on the left-hand side.
- Once you have found the correct template, select that template and tick the Copy content from existing document checkbox.
- Finally, click the green Create document button then select a document from the same project that you'd like to copy the content from. A new document will be created using the template selected with the copied content.
