Content Automation Approval: Approval is given by your default reviewer when they are satisfied with how your document looks. Most documents in Content Automation require approval before the creator is able to export, download, print or share the collateral.
Document: Documents can be created by users from their available suite of templates. Documents are the individual pieces of collateral that live inside a project folder e.g. brochures, web ads, signage, business cards, social media tiles, etc. These documents can be edited based on the inputs available in that template. Documents may or may not require approval in order to be exported and downloaded, shared, or printed.
Requester: The person who requests a document be reviewed for approval.
What is Requesting Document Approval?
Some users require approval before a document is able to be exported. Requesting approval is a feature that allows these users to submit their documents to their default reviewer to gain approval before enabling the ability to export documents.
How to Request Document Approval
- Once you have finished editing your document, on applicable documents, you will only have the ability to Request Approval. Select this button to commence the approval workflow.
- Selecting this button will open up a lightbox to request approval on said document. Here the user will be able to see who the default reviewer for the team is should they need to get in contact with them. The user will also have the ability to add a custom message to the reviewer, this field, however, is not mandatory and the user will be able to proceed with requesting approval if no message is provided.
- Once you have selected Request the default reviewer will be notified of the approval request via email and in the Notifications Tab, and the status of the requested document will update from Unapproved to Pending Approval.
